This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This website cannot confirm a warrant, change a court record, accept bond or payment, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. Official status and resolution instructions must come from the issuing court or Sheriff’s Office.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Choose the Menard County office that matches the record or question:
- Sheriff service or custody question: Menard County Sheriff’s Office, 208 Tipton, Menard, TX 76859; mailing P.O. Box 307; 325-396-4705; fax 325-396-2458. No separate warrant line or public roster was posted. Call before visiting.
- County traffic or Class C case: Justice of the Peace, 206 E. San Saba Ave., Menard, TX 76859; 325-396-2239; JPClerk@co.menard.tx.us. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
- City of Menard ticket or municipal matter: Municipal Court, P.O. Box 145, Menard, TX 76859-0145; 325-396-4706; citysecretaryofmenard@outlook.com listed by OCA. No public citation portal or warrant hours were posted.
- County or district court record: County/District Clerk, 206 E. San Saba Ave.; 325-396-4682; districtcountyclerk@co.menard.tx.us. Ask whether the case belongs to County Court or the 452nd Judicial District Court.
- District setting: 452nd Court coordinator Rebecca Moneyhon, 325-347-0755; rebecca.moneyhon@co.mason.tx.us. The coordinator handles scheduling; the clerk holds the district record.
The county lists Monday through Thursday clerk hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The county warns that some offices are outside the courthouse and asks visitors to confirm the destination and current hours. For a written existing-record request, direct it to the governmental body that holds the record under the Texas Public Information Act; mail, email, and hand delivery are permitted by Government Code §552.234.
For a traffic citation, begin with the court printed on the ticket. The JP’s county contact page specifically routes traffic questions to that office, not to the County Clerk. Give the clerk the name and citation or cause number, then ask which payment, reset, or appearance options apply. GovRec is linked from the JP page for fees; it is not a warrant lookup. Keep a receipt and ask whether the court will issue a separate order or update another reporting system.
For a City of Menard matter, use Municipal Court’s phone or listed email and identify the city citation. The OCA directory lists the court’s mailing address and fax, but it does not expose public case fields or posted clerk hours. Ask whether a personal appearance is required, what the court accepts for a written request, and whether any balance must be confirmed with staff before payment. Do not assume the county JP’s schedule or payment route applies to a city case.
For a district file, the District Clerk keeps criminal, civil, and family records for the 452nd Judicial District Court. The court coordinator handles district settings rather than serving as the clerk of record. The coordinator is based in Mason, while the Menard clerk counter is at the courthouse. County Court records are a different function of the shared clerk office. Naming the court level in a call or written request helps staff send it to the right file custodian.
The Sheriff’s Office publishes a main telephone line and mailing address, but no dedicated warrant extension, public warrant form, or walk-in warrant window was listed. Ask whether it handles service or custody information for the specific process; the issuing court remains the place to ask about payment, recall, or a new setting. If travel is necessary, confirm the exact office and current hours first because the county notes that some departments are outside the courthouse.
A written request should describe an existing record rather than ask the county to create a new search system or answer a legal question. Include the court, citation or case reference, and a useful date range, and retain proof of delivery. The Attorney General’s public-information guide explains request methods and receipt steps. Exceptions may apply to sealed, juvenile, investigative, family, or otherwise protected material; contact the record holder if a response is unclear.
For an FTA arrest warrant issued by a justice or municipal court, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 45A.104(g) provides for recall when the person voluntarily appears and makes a good-faith effort to resolve the failure before the warrant is executed. That rule is narrow and does not cover every case. Ask the issuing clerk whether it applies and what documentation the court will provide; do not treat the Sheriff’s Office contact as a court resolution.
